What is Line Stopping?

Line Stopping has many different names. Depending on the company providing the service it may be referred to as Line Plugging or Stoppling.  Regardless of the name or term you use the objective is the same.

 

Line Stopping is a carefully planned system where a plug is inserted into a previously tapped pipe to prevent the flow of product through a portion of the pipe to repair, reinforce, or other necessary maintenance.  This service allows companies to reduce cost by avoiding a complete shutdown of the plant or facility.

 

Line Stopping provides many benefits which can have both environmental and economical impacts.  Benefits include safer working environment, reduction of cost, and convenience.  However, planning and the right equipment is necessary for success. For this reason, our team does not outsource the manufacturing of the line like most companies.  Production from start to finish is completed in house, which allows our team to inspect every detail throughout the process to ensure we exceed our customers expectations.
