Spotlight on Equalizer's Unique Secure-Grip Bolt Hole Flange Spreaders
Available in Mechanical, Hydraulic and In-line Styles
The Secure-Grip Flange Spreader Line spreads flanges with little or no access gap, and are also ideal when obstructions, such as the change out of blinds or butterfly valves are involved.
When used in pairs, as recommended, Secure-Grip Spreaders will produce from 7.4T to 50T of spreading force.
By employing the innovative expanding bolt hole collet system, the collets expand and grip the inner walls of the bolt holes and are able to "pull" open flange joints from the outside of flange joints through the cantilevering action of the outer arms of the Mechanical and Hydraulic spreaders.
The In-line Hydraulic spreaders, use a rod and piston arrangement, in conjunction with expanding collets, to spread joints. These low-profile tools are ideal for applications with clearance issues and for flanges with bolt hole that are from 2 3/" to 2 3/4" in diameter.
